City students develop job search site

Bangalore:   Those  students  who  complete  college  education

need not struggle for a job. Just log on to www.hotcakejobs.com,

a free to  use web  search  engine  developed by two City-based

engineering  students.

This site is the first of its  kind in the  country giving  details  of

over one lakh jobs in  over  2,000 IT  and  ITES  companies  in

India  and   US.  Sharat Kumar  and   Vinodh,   students  of

Oxford  College  of  Engineering who  launched  this site on

Wednesday,   said  it   was   developed  to  help the youth  save

time and money while searching for a job.

Unlike  other   job  sites  in   which  65 per cent  of the  jobs are

listed   by   consultants,   this   site   helps   job-seekers   log on

directly   to   a  company's  website  to  search  for   jobs,.  said

Sharat Kumar.

The duo, who started working on the site  three years ago,  say

the service will benefit over 45 lakh  job-seekers in the country

who are  aspiring to join  IT/ITES  companies.

Every year,   lakhs  of  students   pass  out  of  college and this

job search  engine  has  never  been  this  easier as almost  all

top   companies   are   covered,.  he said.

This site will be updated once in two days to display

 the latest job openings. VTN
